Late Victorian Hairstyles

Equipments:
In lesson, we have learnt how to create a late Victorian hairstyle. On above are the photos of the hairstyles that we were learning to create.

1) Divide the hair into center parting and then divide the hair into two parts (front & back). The back part will be starting from the ears onwards.
2) After that, tie up less that half of the hair from the back into a high pony tail using a hair bobble.
3) Divide the hair into smaller sections and then use a hair tong to curl the sections. Remember to tuck the end of the hair into the tong when curling it using a tail comb to make sure the end part is being curled as well.
4) Pin the curl around the hair bobble and try to not make it looks like a bun shape. You can pin the curls in different directions.
5) After that, curl the rest of the hair at the bottom. Run through the curls with your fingers and slightly separate the curls.
6) Then, pin the curls near to the hair bobble at the top and try to gather them.
7) For the front part of the hair, use the hair tong to curl 3 sections of hair on each side and remember to hold the hair tong horizontally.
8) For the rest of the hair at the front, hold the hair tong vertically and curl it backwards as you want the side of the hair look sleek and smooth. Pin it down to the back of the hair.
9) Then, for the 3 sections of curls at the front, run through the curls with your fingers and then gather the hair and pin it down to the back of the hair. The front should create a a wave and do the same for the other side as well.

After you finished the hairstyle, you can decorate the hair with flowers, ribbons, etc to make it look more pretty. This hairstyle is suitable for bridal hair as well!

In order to make the hair look grey or white, you can use dry shampoo, coloured hairspray or baby powders to create the effects.

This is what it looks like after spraying the dry shampoo onto the hair. I like the way how it adds dusty grey effects to the hair.

Thoughts about the lesson:
In order to improve next time, I should do the hairstyle quicker as I didn't have time to finish the look. Also, I can gather the curls together a bit more so to make a nicer finish to the hairstyle.
